GR 213 - Typography Design

A course that introduces the design student to traditional and digital typography. Students will gain a familiarity to typographic terms and technologies. The ability to render and design with typography as an expressive medium that conveys an aesthetic, emotional, and intellectual denotation will be the basis for the course. Students will have prior basic concepts of type usage from Digital Graphic design. Further exploration into marks and symbol design will also be explored.
