This course will provide students the opportunity to master a variety of construction techniques necessary for the fabrication of apparel and accessories. Special emphases will be placed on acquisition of skills related to machine sewing and operation, various hand tools and their uses, pressing equipment and techniques, special seam finishes and couture hand-sewing techniques. Note(s) This class is a pre-requisite for most upper division FD courses.
