DA 222 - Intermediate Pilates Conditioning *(1) A continuation of classical Pilates mat work at the intermediate level. Prop work will be integrated as students develop appropriate strength, control and understanding of more challenging concepts. Prop usage will be determined on an individual basis. The course includes: review of fundamental and beginning Pilates mat exercises; progressive integration of intermediate level exercises; knowledge of sequence and vocabulary; the addition of variations and modifications of exercises; and the goals and basic anatomy associated with each exercise. Meets 2 hours per week and may be repeated for credit. This course fulfills one Artistic & Creative credit under the expectation of Lifetime Fitness for one’s Liberal Education program. Prerequisite(s): DA 121, DA 122
