This course builds upon the theory and skills taught in NG 707. Instruction focuses on the acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge of common advanced skills utilized by nurse practitioners in primary care settings. The student will acquire basic proficiency in wound care, wound closure, incision and drainage of abscesses, eye exams for trauma and foreign body, interpretation of radiographs, and interpretation of electrocardiograms.
