MS 099 - Basic Algebra(0) This course is for students that need supplemental preparation in basic mathematics and beginning algebra. This developmental course is required for students whose Brenau Math Placement test scores indicate a need for skill development in mathematics. It is designed to provide the mathematic background for successful completion of MS 101 College Algebra. Topics include signed numbers, algebraic expressions, graphing, polynomials, rational expressions, problem solving, linear equations, systems of equations, factoring, functions, radicals, quadratic equations and functions, and complex numbers. Students who do not pass MS 099 (grade of “P”) after three attempts will be unable to register for further classes at Brenau. MS 099 dropped with a grade (W/WF) counts as an attempt.
