PA 700 - Clinical Clerkship - Family Practice(6) 6 week full-time placement with a physician board certified in Family Practice. The Clinical Clerkships are designed to give students exposure to the spectrum of the medical practices enumerated in the title of each. Students will learn the principles of routine (well) care, management of acute illnesses, and management of chronic/multiple diagnoses of patients spanning the lifespan including care of infants, children and adolescents, adults and elders with acute and chronic diseases. Students will develop the recognition and treatment of acutely ill patients of all ages and those surgical interventions appropriate for the myriad of cases seen across the lifespan. The student will be able to address the biopsychosocial needs of each patient and collaborate across the Interprofessional team for the best patient outcomes. Prerequisite(s): PA 641, PA 642, PA 643. PA 644, PA 645, PA 646, PA 647
