OT 893 - Doctoral Seminar 3: Capstone Project Proposal and Presentation

The seminar is the final of the series designed to support students in the development approval of the written plan for completion of their doctoral capstone and doctoral experience. The plan will articulate steps for positively impacting the profession and their clients through the attainment of project outcomes which demonstrate synthesis of advanced knowledge in the student’s focused area of study. Required component for the plan include: a) design for a needs assessment, b) specific goals and objectives for implementation of the capstone project, c) a formal evaluation plan for the capstone project, and d) identification of faculty and site mentors. Students will present their proposed plan orally to the OT faculty and ELOTD students in order to gain varying perspectives, ideas, and suggestions for improvement and/or completion of the capstone. The final plan must be approved in writing by the ELOTD Doctoral Capstone Coordinator, faculty and site mentors at the end of the semester. Prerequisite(s): OT 892
