This course examines theories of ethics as well as cultural, racial, socioeconomic, spiritual, ethnic, and lifestyle variations affecting health and illness. Students explore ethical dilemmas, health care provider self -awareness, and traditional health and illness beliefs and practices of selected groups as well as the impact of these issues on the health of individuals, families, aggregates, and communities.
