BY 212H - Honors Environmental Biology II *(4) The Honors Program version of Current Environmental Crisis II. This course covers the physical aspects of the environment and explores associated environmental problems with emphasis on problem solving, sustainability, and ethics. Topics include weather and climate, geological phenomena, pesticides, solid and hazardous wastes, pollution (water, soil and air), and resources (water, food, soil, energy and minerals). Students will undertake a class project, and will have outside reading assignments in the current environmental literature. Laboratory and a field trip is mandatory.
