This course focuses on both theoretical decision making frameworks and the computer skills required for empirical analysis of complex business decisions. Students assess finance, marketing, management and production problems based on selected readings, lectures, and spreadsheet cases. Areas covered include problem definition and assessment, research methodology, mathematical model building, hypotheses development and testing, probability, decision trees, linear inference, and forecasting. Student critical thinking is demonstrated in written, oral, and electronic presentations. Prerequisite(s): MS 205 or BA 500 or BA 511
