Increasingly, management is more than just thinking and analysis. It involves doing things competently, through others as well as individually and establishing a basic framework of leadership competency. This subtle shift in thinking requires that the manager discover and become a new self, to be more capable of understanding and leading change. This course is designed to help managers diagnose and develop their own skills in the critical managerial arenas of leadership of change, communications, conflict and its negotiation, productivity management, and the management of others. It provides a grounding of competency-based learning within a solid framework of carefully articulated management theory.
