MM 200 - Diversity in Media *(3) This course critically examines how U.S. media – viewed as one of the major social institutions – create, support and challenge social constructions of race, gender, class, sexuality and other ways in which people are identified, labeled or stereotyped. Students will analyze various print and electronic media content, including advertising.
