This clinical practicum provides a broad practice experience for application of knowledge and skills acquired in prerequisite and co-requisite courses. Students use critical thinking, professional nursing standards, and the nursing process to care for adult clients in acute care and community settings. Through communication and collaboration, students begin to apply knowledge and skills as they care for clients with acute and chronic mental illness. The lab experience provides students the opportunity to demonstrate competency of nursing skills.
