Mission:  The College of Business and Communication has a two-pronged mission. First, as leaders in the education of adults, we prepare students to develop and/or advance in their careers and lives through challenging, convenient, educational opportunities. Second, we are also committed to the development of young women as future leaders through our traditional program. In both cases, we focus on improved critical thinking, communication and technological skills, and subject matter knowledge, to equip students to thrive and adapt in a rapidly changing world.

Undergraduate Information

Transfer Student Policies  Students transferring to Brenau from other institutions will receive an evaluation of coursework upon admission to the university. See University transfer credit policy for details.

Graduation Requirements  Students are urged to review the required institutional graduation requirements described under the Academic Information and Programs-Undergraduate  section of this Catalog as well as requirements within each department and major. Further, all majors are reminded that it is a graduation requirement to complete such standardized tests as may be administered by the department or the institution for purposes of program evaluation. Appropriate notice of dates and locations of testing will be given. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure all requirements are met for graduation.

Graduate Information

The College of Business & Communication offers the M.B.A. degree, the M.S. degree in Organizational Leadership, and the Master of Accountancy (M.Acc.) degree. Please see the School of Business Administration  department for additional information concerning graduate majors offered by that department.

Double Majors:

In order to earn credit for two or more major fields of academic concentration, a student must complete all the requirements for each major field. In instances where the degree is the same, the student receives one degree and must complete all the requirements for both majors before the degree can be awarded. In instances where the majors chosen result in different degrees, the student will receive two degrees and both majors/degrees must be complete before the degrees can be awarded. Transfer credit is limited to six credit hours and must follow the transfer credit policy for graduate programs.
