Program Objectives The fashion design program at Brenau provides students with the opportunity to develop their design skills with a thorough grounding in art and design foundations courses as well as experiences with more specialized problems specific to the design of garments and accessories. Students may earn the B.F.A. or a minor in fashion design.
Career Opportunities The fashion design program at Brenau is designed to prepare graduates for further study at the graduate level and/or positions in the apparel industry. Career opportunities include fashion or costume design, entrepreneurship, wardrobe styling, fashion forecasting, pattern making, product development and manufacturing.
Course of Study In addition to the liberal education requirements, a degree in fashion design requires 75 hours specified in fashion design including one semester-long practicum and one semester-long internship.
