A course designed to acquaint the student with the major plant divisions, their biology, role in the ecosystem, and economic significance. The laboratory will include field trips to study taxonomic and ecological aspects of regional flora. Emphasis is placed on plants native to the Appalachian Mountains and Piedmont area of Georgia.
