This capstone course provides a broad experience for synthesis of knowledge and skills acquired in prerequisite and co-requisite courses. Learners explore relevant research and apply critical thinking, clinical reasoning, professional nursing standards, and the nursing process to provide patient-centered care to clients with complex health problems. Learners communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while completing a preceptorship experience. Learners also identify strengths and areas for growth in their professional role, ability to make nursing decisions, and readiness to transition from student to graduate nurse.
