EH 203 - Varied Voices in American Literature * (3) This course focuses on the literature of indigenous and multi-ethnic groups in the United States. Students will examine texts in the context of the historical and cultural development of these groups in the United States and evaluate the ways in which these texts reflect culture, tradition, ethnic identity, colonialism, and current social pressures. This course may include texts from African-American, Native-American, Jewish-American, Indian-American, Latino/Chicano, Chinese-American, or other minority literatures; it may utilize a focus on one of more of these groups. Prerequisite(s): EH 101, EH 102
