Building on the student’s knowledge of assessment and intervention planning, this course is the final of the series and includes a Level I Fieldwork experience and professional reasoning seminar emphasizing the use of occupation-based interventions and practice in order to strengthen the ties between didactic and fieldwork education. Students complete field-based applied learning activities in traditional, nontraditional, and emerging settings with at least one experience focusing on behavioral health or psychological and social factors influencing engagement in occupation. In the seminar, students engage in learning activities and group discussions that facilitate the development of professional reasoning through reflection on their fieldwork experiences.
