This course is designed to assist students in understanding the scope of Fashion Design. Students will be introduced to the fashion design process, including research, idea generation and editing and engage in the combination of creative and critical thinking necessary for this process. Fashion design categories, hallmarks of these categories and safety requirements will be covered. Ethics, sourcing, sustainability, computer aided design and other relevant practices will be discussed.
