This is a general elective course that will work to develop student cultural competence through online and on ground activities. Through this course, the students will develop a sophisticated understanding of cultures outside of their own, while recognizing culture in the world around them. Upon successful completion of this course, in addition to earning 3 semester credit hours, students will receive a Global Competence Certificate issued by AFS Intercultural Programs. The course will utilize the AFS Global Up program, facilitated by Brenau faculty, to offer a blended learning program that develops tangible global skills essential to live, work, and make a real social impact worldwide. In this program, learners learn to collaborate effectively across differences through a program requiring no travel.
