A one-semester survey course in general, organic, and biochemistry. Topics covered include: measurement; states of matter; atomic structure and bonding; chemical formulas and reactions; stoichiometry; solutions; gas laws; kinetics; equilibria; acid-base chemistry; structure, properties and reactions of organic compounds; structure, properties, and reactions of biomolecules; metabolism; and, some aspects of human nutrition.
