This course focuses on the teaching of language arts, including listening, speaking, viewing, and visual representing, as they are related to literacy learning. The principles and practices of scientific reading instruction related to the teaching of language arts and literacy instruction will be explored, including the integration of children’s literature. This is a placement embedded course; a 48-hour field experience placement in a regionally accredited school is required during the course. Prerequisite(s): Admission to TE, ED 311, and ED 345 Note(s) Permission from the Clinical Experience Office is required to register.
