An introductory course to Hospitality Management designed to provide current information and trends on topics relevant to the management, marketing and promotion, budgeting and funding, technology, strategic planning, and operations positions in the expanding hospitality industry. The course explores the history of hospitality management and how hospitality will be affected by the changing world. It will also cover the food service, lodging, and specialized segments of the hospitality industry. The course will be aligned with Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) International Standards, which will help prepare students for the CMP Certification Examination.
