The purpose of this course is to facilitate learners’ development of grammatical competence at the advanced level. The focus of the course will be on acquiring and practicing the compound, complex, and compound-complex structures of the English language and how specific grammatical functions can facilitate effective communication. Learners will develop the ability to use these structures in communication through the four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. A key feature of this course is facilitating learners’ development of a high degree of grammatical accuracy and complexity.
