This course provides candidates with the knowledge and understanding for teaching and assessing language and literacy acquisition. Experiences enable the prospective teacher to demonstrate the knowledge for teaching language and literacy acquisition. The most current research on language and literacy concepts and development will be explored. Requires admission to teacher education. Prerequisite(s): Admission to Teacher Education
