This course is for STEM and non-STEM students that need preparation for college level mathematics. This preparative course serves as a bridge for ESL students that need supplemental mathematical skill development and support mastering the English language of mathematics and the mathematical pedagogy of the United States. It is designed to provide the mathematics background for successful completion of MS 100 Quantitative Analysis and MS 101 College Algebra. Topics include, signed numbers, algebraic expressions, graphing, polynomials, rational expressions, problem solving, linear equations, systems of equations, factoring, functions, radicals, quadratic equations and functions. Note(s) Students must complete this course with a grade of C or higher to achieve a passing grade. Final course grade is reported as Pass or Fail.
