Students will gain an understanding of the foundation of social science research methods in applied settings. They will analyze the ethics of research in applied settings. They will learn to select research designs that best fit the research question and setting, and they will critically evaluate the research methods of existing studies. Finally they will design an applied research project. Emphasis will be placed on how psychology practitioners incorporate research into reflective practice.
