PY 751 - Discipline Specific Knowledge Review and Exam

This course provides an orientation to training and practice as a psychologist. Students will learn about the APA and its efforts to strengthen the field of psychology. They will also learn about the various roles psychologists can play with individuals, groups and communities. Students will self-reflect on their own process of becoming a psychologist. Finally students will explore contemporary issues in psychology and how these relate foundation knowledge in psychology. Foundation knowledge topics will be reviewed.
