PY 991 - Doctoral Dissertation I (3) This is a three credit course which serves as an introduction in the dissertation writing process. As such, it is an independent study course with the student’s dissertation chair as the primary instructor. The focus of the course is the development of the student’s dissertation proposal of the first three chapters of the traditional doctoral dissertation and completion of the IRB application. The core objective of this course is to provide guidance and motivation to the doctoral student so that Chapters 1 (Introduction), 2 (Literature Review) and 3, (Methodology), are completed and the entire prospectus is approved by the student’s dissertation committee. Prerequisite(s): Prerequisites: PY 982, admission to doctoral candidacy Note(s) This class is taught pass/fail.
