In this course, the student is required to participate in an internship at a site where the student can conduct individual or group dance/movement therapy sessions. This specialty practicum class will be taken in conjunction with a regular practicum/supervision class (as required for licensure and hours). The hours obtained during this time could be applied towards licensure, but would be supervised by the BC-DMT supervisor rather than campus supervisor. During this class, the student explores thoughts, challenges, and issues that arise during the internship. Students will also have the opportunity to apply the concepts of dance/movement therapy case formulation and treatment planning to their practicum. The students will present their individual and group work with clients in class.
