DMT Group Process is based on the ADTA’s 2021 Standards for the core content areas of group process and the psychology of groups. Through a didactic and experiential learning approach, students will learn about dance/movement therapy in relation to the group process, including the role of the group leader, the various stages of group development, the dynamic and interactive processes of group work, and the implications of different approach styles in diverse populations. As a result, the student will have the knowledge needed for understanding group processes and leading dance/movement therapy groups.
