PY 929 - Special Topics (3) This course serves as a venue for the graduate faculty to offer specific course work in various discipline areas of clinical psychology with diverse populations and specific treatment approaches. Topics will focus on such areas of interest as marriage and family counseling, eating disorders, chronic mental illnesses, substance abuse, child advocacy adolescent disorders, and others. Emphasis will vary given the topic of interest but may include theory structure embedded in the topic, social-emotional consequences of the topic, the neurobiological and etiological factors as well as social and cultural factors associated with the topic, as well as therapeutic treatment strategies.
