RMI 420 - Insurer Operations (3) This course is designed as a more in-depth study of the key operational activities of insurance organizations for four primary lines of business: property, casualty/liability, life, and health, with the primary focus on the P&C insurance carriers. It specifically covers marketing and distribution systems, underwriting, principles of ratemaking, reinsurance, technology, and strategic management. Current regulatory and public policy issues are examined. Students also analyze the operational and financial aspects of a P&C insurance company. Prerequisite(s): RMI 351
